CostellazionEconomia is an initiative, started in 2014 by the Fondazione Manlio Resta Onlus, with the aim of strengthening communication and mutual cooperation between universities that have a training offer in economic sciences located in Lazio Region, in which operates a plurality of public and private universities, but there is no "aggregator" or "facilitator" for dialogue between them. In the CostellazionEconomia are currently represented 10 universities, 5 public: Sapienza University of Rome, Tor Vergata, Roma Tre, University of Cassino, University of Tuscia and 5 privates: Luiss, Lumsa, Unint, Utiu and Unicusano.
The constellation's debut occurred on June 19th, 2014 at a conference organized by the foundation with the attendance of: the President of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti; The Councillor for Economic Development and Productive Activities of the Lazio Region, Guido Fabiani; The rector of "La Sapienza" University of Rome, Luigi Frati; The dean of the Faculty of Economics of "La Sapienza" University of Rome, Giuseppe Ciccarone; The President of the Fundation, Vanni Resta; The Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Foundation, Gustavo Piga, as well as several members of the University of the constellation.
